Here's A Doozy

Lost in all the election coverage last night was the news that the Justice Department raided the office of Special Counsel head Scott Bloch, whose job is to protect government employees who report crimes committed by the Administration. According to the story, Bloch is "fighting allegations of improper political bias and obstruction of justice."

This may be the most perfectly symbolic of all of Bush's political appointees, a person so incompetent that he didn't think that whistle-blowers would complain about nobody following up on their complaints.

I may actually miss these idiots, but just for the comedy.

I have a cramp in my neck from shaking my head in amazement at the antics of these buffoons.

The problem is, we're getting ready to elect a brand-new set of buffoons.

All because the American public largely has no idea how their government works. I blame them.

by the way, are the buffoons the primates with the pink asses? Just curious...

I despair when I consider the American electorate. They deserve the government they get.

This was lampooned perfectly by 'Family Guy'. The mother, Lois, is running for office, and can't understand why nobody responds to her thoughtful campaign answers. She's told that people want simple, easily digestible answers that don't require them to think too much.

So, the next time she gets a question....

Audience: What are you going to do about crime?

Lois: LOTS!

Audience: [applause]

Lois: Because that's what Jesus would want...

Audience: [louder applause]

Lois: 9-11 was BAD!

Audience: [wild cheering]

Very funny, but very accurate and sad.
